Personal information we collect
When you visit the Site, our web host keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, the pages requested and your browser type. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on the Site.
We also collect the personal information you give us when you submit a form or contact us, such as your name, email address, organisation and telephone number, so that we can respond to you.
Why we process your personal information
Our top priority is the security of your personal information. We process only the personal information needed to run the Site. Server logs are used only to keep the Site secure and working, and to identify abuse.
You can visit the Site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information. If, however, you wish to use certain features of the website, such as receiving our Insights or contacting us directly, you may provide personal information including your email address, name, city of residence, organisation, and telephone number. You can choose not to provide personal information, but you may then be unable to take advantage of some website features.

Under POPIA (section 5) you have the right to have your personal information processed in line with the conditions for lawful processing, including the right:

- to ask whether we hold personal information about you, and to ask for access to it (section 23)
- to ask for your personal information to be corrected, deleted or destroyed (section 24)
- to object to the processing of your personal information (section 11(3))
- not to have your personal information used for direct marketing by unsolicited electronic communications, except as section 69 allows
- not to be subject, in certain circumstances, to a decision based solely on automated processing of your personal information that profiles you (section 71)
- to complain to the Information Regulator (section 74)
- to bring civil proceedings if you believe the protection of your personal information has been interfered with (section 99)

We process your information to respond to you and to provide what you ask for. Service providers and transfers outside South Africa
Forms on the Site, such as the contact form and our assessments, are submitted through a third-party form-processing service operated from the United States, which passes each submission to us by email. Information you submit through a form is therefore transferred to the United States.
The Site loads its typefaces from a third-party font service, so your browser connects to that provider’s servers when a page loads. The Site stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser, not as a cookie, and does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Ask us if you want more detail about the categories of provider we use and the countries involved.
Information security
Information you provide is kept on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. We maintain reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect against unauthorised access, use, modification, and disclosure of personal information in our control and custody. However, no data transmission over the Internet or wireless network can be guaranteed to be entirely secure.
Legal disclosure
We will disclose any information we collect, use or receive if required or permitted by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, and when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
