BoardEvaluator™ Academy Agency About Insights
To our stakeholders

The Celagenix® Group is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct in everything we do - as we strive to make a lasting contribution in the lives of our clients, partners, people, and the communities within which we operate globally.

The ever-changing global economic landscape, alongside an unprecedented shift to digitalised operations, have created vacuums for inadequate governance and misconduct. Many professional services firms have been exposed for exploiting these vacuums to serve ulterior motives. The current economic climate requires organisations to strike a stronger balance between the needs of their material stakeholders and the interests of the organisation and its clients. Ethical behaviour must be bolstered on all fronts, at every level.

The Celagenix® Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct - the CelaCode - articulates the standards to which every individual in the Celagenix® Group must adhere and commit, regardless of where they live and work in the world.

The CelaCode is rooted in our corporate values and reflects our core belief that ethical conduct is the soil from which every success sprouts. It guides us in conducting business honourably, morally, and with the utmost professionalism - and makes it easier for every member of our team to be responsibly autonomous.

At Celagenix®, we stand shoulder-to-shoulder in all our endeavours. You are not expected to deal with ethical predicaments alone. You are encouraged to consult colleagues, division managers, and senior management, and to report any actual or suspected violations through our internal reporting channel.

Aspirational values

At Celagenix®, we share several aspirational values that collectively govern the way we conduct business as management consultants, business advisors, and independent contractors. These values enable us to work cohesively, ethically, and responsibly in the interests of all our stakeholders.

Integrative Leadership

We believe bureaucratised management and autocratic leadership are redundant. Our model lends itself to decentralised management and integrative leadership, underpinned by governance best practices and delegative chains of command. Our ability to advance as a global group is rooted in our aspiration to walk shoulder-to-shoulder as a collective.

Authenticity

The force that propels us to push the boundaries of convention revolves around our conviction to remain true to who we are - as individuals, teams, and leaders. We believe authenticity is key to crafting a truly differentiated brand, a distinguishable value proposition, and an energetic corporate culture that stimulates our creative impetus.

Pioneering Innovation

We strive to always be one step ahead in the conceptualisation, development, and delivery of our solutions. This requires us to embrace disruption rather than shy away from it, and to leverage the power of collaborative solutioning to unlock compounding value for our clients and stakeholders. We are strong proponents of continuous learning, growth, and personal development.

Functional Inclusivity

We believe in accommodating the exceptionality of individuals from diverse backgrounds by cultivating their skills, gifts, and talents. Our onboarding of employees, contractors, and suppliers is never politically motivated, but always based on the function for which their expertise is required. Our procurement centres around passion and conviction as much as it does around credentials.

Client Centricity

We value longstanding relationships and fruitful, ongoing association with our clients and partners. We believe that successfully navigating organisations through the rigorous process of modern-day transformative change requires us to move beyond the short-lived bouts of production that accompany traditional consulting. At Celagenix®, we don't simply consult - we partner. We don't simply engage - we enable. The only thing we don't do, is average.

Global mandatory standards

We aim for exceptional in everything we do. The global mandatory standards embedded in our CelaCode enable us to achieve it consistently, with distinction.

Integrity

We are straightforward and honest in our professional opinions and business relationships. We are truthful about the services we provide, the knowledge we possess, and the experience we have gained.

Objectivity

We are objective in forming our professional opinions and the advice we give. We do not allow bias, conflict of interest, or inappropriate influence to override our professional judgments and responsibilities. We do not offer, accept, or solicit any gifts, entertainment, or hospitality that we have reason to believe may be intended to improperly influence business decisions or impair objectivity.

Professional Competence

We use due care to match client needs with practitioners who have the competence required for their assignments. We foster innovation and new ideas to improve the value and performance of our services.

Quality

We are committed to providing quality services by bringing together the breadth and depth of our resources, experience, and insights to help clients address their needs and problems. We strive to develop outcomes that create an impact that matters for our clients.

Professional Behaviour

We comply with applicable professional standards, laws, and regulations, and seek to avoid actions that may discredit ourselves or our professions. We foster a culture of appropriate professional scepticism and personal accountability. We understand the broader impact our work has on society, our people, and our clients, and we conduct business with those interests in mind.

Anti-corruption

We are against corruption in all its forms. We neither make bribes nor accept them. We do not engage in any practice that could be construed as corrupt, fraudulent, coercive, collusive, or obstructive - whether in dealings with clients, public officials, or any other party.

Any member of the Celagenix® Group who becomes aware of actual or suspected corruption must report it immediately through our internal reporting channel or directly to senior management.

Human rights & workplace dignity

We are committed to respecting human rights in all our operations and relationships. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination, harassment, or abuse - whether based on race, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic.

We believe in the dignity of every person we encounter in our work - our colleagues, our clients, our contractors, and the communities in which we operate. We expect every member of the Celagenix® Group to uphold this commitment in every interaction.

Confidentiality & data privacy

We protect and take measures to safeguard the confidential and personal information that we hold - collecting and handling it in compliance with applicable laws, professional obligations, and our own data management policies.

  • We prohibit disclosure of confidential and personal information entrusted to us, unless granted permission or there is a legal or professional right or duty to disclose
  • We prohibit the use of confidential information about our clients for personal advantage or for the benefit of third parties
  • These obligations continue to apply after the termination of any engagement or employment relationship

Our commitment to confidentiality is fundamental to the trust that clients place in us. It is non-negotiable.

Conflicts of interest

We are committed to identifying, disclosing, and managing conflicts of interest proactively. A conflict of interest arises when personal, financial, or other interests have the potential to interfere - or appear to interfere - with the objective exercise of professional judgment.

Every member of the Celagenix® Group is expected to:

  • Disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest to their manager or senior leadership before accepting an engagement or undertaking that may give rise to the conflict
  • Recuse themselves from any decision-making process in which they have a conflicting interest
  • Avoid placing themselves in situations where personal interests could impair their professional objectivity

Reporting misconduct

Celagenix® operates an open-door policy. Every member of the group - employee, contractor, or representative - is encouraged to raise concerns about actual or suspected misconduct without fear of retaliation.

Reports may be made directly to a line manager, to a member of senior management, or through our internal reporting channel. All reports will be treated with confidentiality and investigated promptly and fairly.

We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith. Any act of retaliation will itself be treated as a serious breach of the CelaCode.
